Lydia - A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Lydia United Methodist Church, 5201 Freyou Rd., Lydia, LA 70569 (337-519-8339), for Forrest Prince, 88, who passed away on Friday, August 9, 2019 his Lydia home, surrounded by family. Rev. Craig Davis will be the Officiant.
Entombment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia.
Visitation will be at Lydia United Methodist Church from 1:00 pm until 2:30pm on Saturday, August 24, 2019.
Forrest Prince was born in Louisa on March 17, 1931 to the late David Prince and Revah Doolittle Prince. He held many jobs throughout his life, including painter, oilfield worker, owner of Peg's Club, commercial fisherman, boat captain, and Master Gardner. A family man and an avid outdoorsman, Mr. Prince enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. He will be deeply missed.
Forrest is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia LeBlanc Prince; son, Forrest Jude Prince; daughters, Cynthia Prince Lancon, Debra A. Prince, and Tina Prince Rodrigue and husband Joey; brothers, David Prince, Jr. (Marie Luent), and Larry Prince; a sister, Joyce Prince Adams (Wayne); grandchildren, Shantelle Richard, Cheri Conley, Chynna LeBlanc, Lacey Prejean, Derek Prince, and Jacob Rodrigue; great-grandchildren, Kobi, Bailey and Cami Richard, Taylor Lancon, Ryan, Trace and Kylie Conley, Cainn and Caleb LeBlanc, Joseph, Luke and Matthew Prejean, Bryce Reaux, and Derek Prince, Jr.; great-great grandchildren, London Savoy, Brooks McGeHee, Cohen Woods, and John Richard; and his pets, Jack, Cookie and Man Cat.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Dorothy Trautman, Ulgier "U.J." Prince, Charles Prince, Arnold Prince, Raymond Prince, Elaine Falterman, and Russell Prince.
Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren.
