Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge for Frances Munguia Cantu, 81, who died Monday, May 21, 2007 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. Survivors include one son, Rollie Cantu and his wife, Mary Beth Matte Cantu, of Breaux Bridge; two daughters, Sylvia Cantu Uhall and her husband, Ted, of Breaux Bridge, and Mary Dalia Epperson and her husband, Fred, of Houston, TX; two brothers, Pedro and Frank Munguia, Jr., both of Alice, Texas; six sisters, Susie Gracia, Eva Najara, Delia Alivar, Aurora Alivar, Lupe Munguia, all of Alice, Texas, and Lilya Espinoza, of Bryan, Texas; seven grandchildren, Chazz Cantu, Justin Cantu, Kelli Cantu, Nancy Rodriguez, Rita Rodriguez, Ernest Rodriguez, Jr., and Lorraine Ayala; and one great grandchild, Adrain Gonzales. She was preceded in death by her husband, Corando V. Cantu; her parents, Francisco and Juana Gracia Munguia; one daughter, Elvira Rodriguez; and one sister, Elma Olivarez. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday and continue at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday until time of service. Pallbearers will be Chazz Cantu, Justin Cantu, Rollie Cantu, Ted Uhall, Gantt Nicholson, and Russell "Shorty" Huval. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
