Breaux Bridge – A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, August 2, 2019, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge for Francis "Frank" Lee Knott, 62, who passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at Willis-Knighton Health Systems in Shreveport.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:30 am until 3:00 pm on Friday.
A rosary will be prayed at 2:00 pm on Friday.
Rev. Bryce Sibley will officiate at the Funeral Service. Scriptures will be read by Maddison Knott, Dawn Stoot, and Ashley Degeyter. Musicians will be River Gibson and Saylor Brasseaux.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Frank loved building and working on his dream home, traveling, playing the guitar, and teaching his granddaughter, Maddison, how to play. He enjoyed family nights at Picante's every Friday and barbecuing on weekends. He enjoyed watching boxing and Game of Thrones with his son, Chris, and spending time with all his family. He was an avid worker while also having guilty pleasure for his Oreos, Lays potato chips, peanut M&Ms, and Popeye's. Frank never met a stranger who didn’t become his friend. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Angelle Knott; son, Christopher Knott and wife Jaimee of Lafayette; grandchild, Maddison Knott and grand dog, Mollie Knott, of Lafayette; mother, Lydia Robin Knott; brother, Daniel Knott of Baton Rouge; sisters, Cheryl Knott Richard and husband Anthony “Tony” of Lafayette and Julie Knott Bergeron and husband Bobby, Sr. of Arnaudville; 10 nieces and nephews; 12 great nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Michael Angelle and wife Marcia of Cecilia; sister-in-law, June Degeyter and husband Lannie of Eunice; Godchildren, Dawn Richard Stoot and Ashley Degeyter; and his extended family, siblings and their families of his daughter-in-law, Jaimee Knott.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Knott; grandparents, Maurice and Irene Knott and Ismael and Alma Robin; nephew, Cody Angelle; mother and father-in-law, Laurey and Carrie Angelle; and his very close friend/uncle, Cyriaque Degeyter.
Pallbearers will be Chris Knott, Josh Richard, Michael Angelle, Jacob Kline, Matt Johnson, and Billy Richard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Knott, Daniel Knott, Lance Richard, Tony Richard, Tommy Gibson, Lannie Degeyter, Shane Degeyter, and Myran Chautin.
