St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 5, 2005, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in St. Martinville for Frank "Popsie" Champagne, Jr., 62, who died Sunday, December 4, 2005 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge.
Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Survivors include his wife, Dianne D. Champagne of St. Martinville; his daughters, Meecah Trimble of St. Martinville, Michelle Courville of Coteau Holmes, Nanette Gary of Morgan City, Lynnette Champagne of Arnaudville, Jeanette Chautin of Patterson, and Lisa Boutte of New Iberia; his sons, Dale Champagne of Leonville and Frank Anderson of Breaux Bridge; his sisters, Mary Lou Hergruder of Abbeville; Madeline Blanchet of St. Martinville and Shirley Wright of St. Martinville; his brothers, Henry Champagne, Wilfred Champagne, Andrew Champagne, Larry Champagne, Joseph Champagne, all of St. Martinville and Johnny Champagne of Breaux Bridge; twenty grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Little James Champagne; his parents, Madeline and Frank Champagne, Sr.; and his brother, Antoine Champagne.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. ~ 12 Midnight on Sunday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Monday until time of service.
Pallbearers will be Willis "Will" Courville, Jr., Dereck Trimble, Mark Duhon, Larry Champagne, Willis Courville, Sr., and Johnny Champagne.
Honorary pallbearer will be Frank Anderson.
"Popsie" I love you; we all do. God bless you. He will be sadly missed by wife, children and family.
