Frank B. Chachere, Jr.

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Frank B. Chachere, Jr., 69, who passed on to Jesus peacefully Thursday, September 17, 2015, at his home in Baton Rouge. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Monday, and continue on Tuesday at 8:00 am until 9:45 am, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Monday. Fr. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Funeral Mass and Fr. Kenneth Mayne will concelebrate. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Frank was a graduate of Washington High School, attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and worked as a plant operator for Exxon for many years. He was a skilled musician who had a passion for music and loved playing the fiddle, guitar, and the mandolin. An avid outdoorsman, Frank enjoyed fishing in the Atchafalaya Basin. He loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren. Frank was loved by all who knew him for his humor and integrity. He is survived by his loving spouse, Cammie Talbot Chachere; his sons, Chip Chachere and wife Gail, Joby Chachere, and Nick Chachere and wife Alyce; daughters, Kimberly Borgnine and husband Cris, and Victoria Chachere; step-sons, Chris Hebert and wife Amy, and Timothy Hebert, Sr. and wife Laura; his sister, Carol Preston and husband Bill; his brother, Danny Chachere and wife Mary; grandchildren, Adam Chachere, Mose Jenkins, Sam Chachere, Anthony Borgnine, Vincent Borgnine, and Abigail Chachere; and step-grandchildren, Ethan Hebert, Timothy Hebert, Jr. and Trevor Hebert. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Basil Chachere, Sr. and Verna Mae Stagg Chachere. Pallbearers will be Chip Chachere, Joby Chachere, Nick Chachere, Timothy Hebert Sr., Danny Chachere, and Dale Montgomery. Honorary pallbearer will be Chris Hebert.
