Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, August 17, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Frank Davis, Jr., 78, who passed away on August 2, 2024 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 7:00 am to 10:00 am.

A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 am on Saturday.

Rev. George-Bede Ajuruchi, SSJ will officiate at the funeral mass. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery at a later date.

Frank was born on August 4, 1945 in Lafayette. Frank was a dedicated Saints fan, his face lighting up whenever he talked about his favorite team. His love for riding his bike took him on many adventures.

Whether it was visiting new places, cooking delicious meals, or simply reading the newspaper with a cup of coffee in hand, Frank approached everything with enthusiasm and a warm smile.

A true family man at heart, Frank's greatest joy came from spending time with his loved ones. He had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel loved and cherished, always thinking of others before himself. His kindness knew no bounds, and his generosity touched the lives of many.

Frank had a deep appreciation for sports and could often be found cheering on his favorite teams with unmatched enthusiasm. His energetic spirit and positive outlook on life were contagious, making him a beloved figure in both his community and among friends.

Frank, known for his warm smile and compassionate heart, touched the lives of many through his dedicated service in the American Legion. His commitment to his country and fellow veterans was unwavering, a true testament to his selflessness and patriotism.

Beyond his military service, Frank found joy in his hobbies and community involvement. A member of the Knights of Peter Claver, he embraced camaraderie and fellowship, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, evident in his weekly attendance at Holy Hour at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Frank's spiritual devotion was not only a personal practice but a source of strength and inspiration for those around him.

He is survived by his sons, Frank Noel (Evelyn) and Clousey Noel (Anna); daughters, Renella Sassau, Nellie Boutte, Rena Lastrape (Keith), Mary Gabriel (McKinley), Edna Noel (Clarence), Anna Calais (Brad), Patricia Ledet (Curtis), Missy Hypolite and Jessica Solari (Michael); host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; godchildren, Jennifer Noel, John Sassau, Jr., Journey Hamiliton and Yancy Boutte; Nephews, Leroy Davis, Jr. and Tony Davis; Close Friend, Clousey Noel, Sr.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Mildred W. Noel; his parents, Frank and Hilda Davis, Sr; brother, Leroy Davis; maternal grandparents, Willie and Estelle Jefferson; paternal grandparents, Leroy and Ovillia Davis; son-in-laws, Reginald Boutte, Sr., Rubin Hypolite, Jr. and Chris Roberson; daughter, Rita Mae Roberson; grandchildren, Javon Livings, Dominic Roy, Hilton Noel, Sr., Kelian Hawkins and Genesis Rogers.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Smith, Jr., John Sassau, Jr., Reginald Boutte, Jr., Coddie Noel, Sr., Damon Noel, Jessie Noel, Clausey Hawkins and Donald Benoit, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Noel, Frank Noel, Jr., Trevor Handy, Javion Noel, Niven Noel, Clausey Noel, Jr, Rubin Hypolite, Jr., John Michael Baltazar, Jr., Curtis Ledet, Sr., Kelby Hypolite, Diesel Solari, Courtney Boutte, Sr. and Chris Roberson.
