New Iberia - Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Frank Phillip Girard, 85, who passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, in New Iberia. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 8:30 AM until 12:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. Rev. Eugene Tremie will officiate. The reader will be granddaughter, Brittany Girard Kurtz. Interment will follow at St. Marcellus Catholic Cemetery in Rynella. Mr. Girard was born on December 23, 1929 to Lues and Ella Migues Girard. His hobbies included fishing and gardening. He cherished moments spent with his family and friends. He is survived by his companion, Anna Landry of New Iberia; sons, Richard Boutte and his wife Rita of New Iberia and Rodney Girard and his wife Susan of Mandeville; daughter, Louise Boutte of New Mexico; brothers, Minus Girard of New Iberia and Ronnie Girard of Erath; daughter in laws, Helen Boutte of New Iberia and Susan Boutte of Covington; grandchildren, Curris "Chip" Boutte, Jr. of Lafayette, Dusti Boutte DeMahy of Gulf Breeze, FL, Phil Boutte of New Iberia, Craig Boutte of Broussard, Brock Boutte of Gretna, Fallon Boutte Browning of Covington, Chad Migues of Jeanerette, Lance Crader of New Mexico, Rodney Girard, II of New Iberia, Brittany Girard Kurtz of Madisonville, Brad Girard of Mandeville; and twelve great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lues and Ella Migues Girard; wife, Ida Johnson Girard; sons, Curris Boutte and Louis Boutte; brothers, Raoul Girard and Wilson Girard; sisters, Marie Bourque, Lula Mae Renard, Hilda Theriot, Angela Theriot, and Adella Landry.
