Gabriel "To To" Latiolais

Catahoula - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula for Gabriel "To To" Latiolais , 94, who passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018, at Iberia Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Dion Hall from 7:00 am until 1:45 pm on Wednesday. A rosary will be prayed at 1:15 pm on Wednesday. Rev. Richard Fabre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Gift bearers will be Alexys Landry and Kaylee Borel. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula. Gabriel, "To To" as he was better known to his family and friends, honorably served our country in the United States Army during World War II. He was retired from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. “To To” was an avid outdoorsman and dearly loved the community of Catahoula, where he was born and raised. He cherished times spent with his family and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving daughters, Cathie L. Champagne and husband Merrill, and Rebecca L. Borel and husband Kirk; his grandchildren, Jamie (Leo), Cory (Kahea), Jennifer (Ben), Courtney (Codi) and Clay (Meagan); and his great grandchildren, Koa, Kelei, Melana, Elijah, Alexys, Kaylee, Cameron, and Sophie. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Mary Dauphinet Latiolais; his parents, Alfred and Anita Laperouse Latiolais; brothers, Phermine, Claude, Gilbert "Reuben", and Ramie Latiolais; and sisters, Lucy Savoy, Lena Frederick, and Bernice Guilbeaux. Pallbearers will be Jamie Champagne, Cory Champagne, Clay Borel, Koa Champagne, Ben Landry, and Codi LeGrand. Honorary pallbearers will be Kirk Borel, Merrill Champagne, Tommy Latiolais, Ricky Boudreaux, and his great grandchildren. Pellerin Funeral Home, (337.332.2111), is in charge of arrangements.
