Gabriel Lee Sigue, Jr.

New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Lydia for Gabriel Lee Sigue, Jr., 61, who passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at his  home.

Entombment will follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Patoutville.

Rev. Mark Derise will be the Celebrant. Rev. Randy Courville will con-celebrate.

A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia from 9:00 AM until 12:15 PM on Wednesday.

A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 AM on Wednesday.

Gabriel Lee Sigue, Jr. was born in New Iberia, Louisiana on December 5, 1960 to the late Gabriel, Sr. and Laura Fontenot Sigue, and worked as a truck driver. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend who will be deeply missed.

Mr. Sigue leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 31 years, Lynette Bernard Sigue; son, Phillip Sigue; daughter, Ja'Lyn Sigue; siblings, Sheila Barber, Gesille (Mike) Simien, Gregory (Belkis) Sigue, and Timothy (Charlotte) Sigue; mother-in-law, Otherea Bernard; brother-in-law, Glenn (Rhonda) Bernard; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Bruce Barber; and father-in-law, Phillip Wilmer Bernard.
