Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 PM, Monday, November 20, 2023, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Gail B. Broussard, 75, who passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at her residence.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Sunday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and will continue on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:30 PM.

A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM on Sunday.

Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will officiate at the funeral service.

Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1.

Born on January 27, 1948, in Breaux Bridge, LA, Gail was a cherished member of her community and leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion. She has worked for St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office for over 30 years, starting her career there as a 9-1-1 dispatcher, and ending it as the Administrative Assistant for the Narcotics Division. Her dedication to her work with the Sheriff's office was unwavering, and she embraced the opportunity to care for and support her "boys." Gail ran a tight ship, but she also spoiled those that worked with her, making sure that they were well-fed and cared for throughout their shifts.

Beyond her professional life, Gail had a passion for holidays and decorating. She would go the extra mile to transform the office and her home into a festive and inviting space, bringing joy to all who visited. In her leisure time, Gail loved to explore the local shops, particularly frequenting Janell's in Breaux Bridge. But above all else, Gail's heart belonged to her daughter, Bree and beloved granddaughter, Anna. Anna brought immeasurable joy to Gail's life, and she took great pride in watching her grow into an amazing young lady. 

Gail Broussard's life touched the hearts of many, and her memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her. She will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her.

She is survived by her daughter, Bree Broussard Menard (Gregory); and her granddaughter, Anna Marie Menard.

She is preceded in death by several relatives including her parents, Adam and Bertha Belaire Boudreaux, and cousin, Harold Belaire.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Bonvillain, Marlon Miller, Gavin Milby, Gavin Seneca, Steven David, and Nicholas LeBeouf.
