Gail Bigler Chauffe

Breaux Bridge- A visitation will take place at the funeral home at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge on Monday, September 9, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM for Gail Bigler Chauffe, 80, who passed away on September 5, 2024 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.

Burial will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Grand Coteau. Oliver Carmichael will be speaking at the graveside.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Gail Anne Bigler Chauffe. She was born on October 25, 1943 in Bellingham, WA. Louisiana was her home for over 60 years. Gail left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. She had a witty sense of humor and a vibrant personality. Her passions include; visiting with her grandchildren, caring for her two cats, and tending to a colorful collection of plants and flowers. Gail’s home was always filled with music, her zydeco tunes, played loud and proud.

She is survived by her children, Ronald Chauffe, Jr. (Patti), Sherry Bergeron (Billy), Karen Vicknair (Kenneth); grandchildren, Michelle Comb (Kelly), Megan Chauffe (Bryan), Macie Northcutt (Brandon), Zachary Bergeron, Kent Vicknair (Gaby), Brent Vicknair, Kourtni Vicknair, and Bryan Vicknair (Cassie); great grandchildren, Isabella, Karson, Juliette, Emmit, Channing, Jax, Jace, Camden, Ridge, and Benet; the father of her children, Ronald Chauffe, Sr.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her long-time love Rodney Thibodeaux; parents, Ted and Ethel Anderson; biological parents, Jack Bigler and Bernice Erikson.

Pallbearers will be Kelly Comb, Bryan Landry, Brandon Northcutt, Bryan Vicknair, Kenneth Vicknair, and Billy Bergeron.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Chauffe, Jr., Kent Vicknair, Brent Vicknair, and Zachary Bergeron.
