Gail Durio Vicknair

Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge, for Gail Durio Vicknair, 73, who passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024, in Midland, Texas. 

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 9:30 am until 9:00 pm. It will continue on Saturday from 8:00 am until the time of service at 1:30 pm. 

Pastor Randy Bowman will officiate at the Funeral Service. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.

Gail was born and raised in Breaux Bridge. She started her career as a waitress at Thelma's restaurant and continued at Ruth Chris Steakhouse in Lafayette. Gail finished her career working at Gail Oil Company. 

She devoted the majority of her time to her church and she loved being around children. Gail loved nature and spent countless hours watching birds and wildlife. She cared deeply for her family and friends and she could always be seen with a smile. Gail was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She is survived by her sons, Joey Vicknair (Julie) and Matthew Vicknair (Christine); sisters, Jerry Lynn Bertrand and Sandra Melancon (Francis); grandchildren, Kaleb Vicknair, Ashley Vicknair, Cody Vicknair, Jacob Vicknair, Courtney Vicknair, Jared Sanchez and Alexis Lasseigne (Anthony); and two great-grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Camille Vicknair; daughter, Angel Vicknair; father, Gerald Durio, Sr.; mother, Georgette Mouton; and her brothers, Paul Wayne Durio, Rusty Durio, and Gerald James Durio, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Joey Vicknair, Matthew Vicknair, Kaleb Vicknair, Cody Vicknair, Jacob Vicknair, and Jared Sanchez.
