BreauxBridge - A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m., on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for Gary Paul Laviolette, 63, who died on Saturday, October 2, 2010.
Pastor Joseph Jenkins will conduct the memorial service.
Gary worked in the oil industry for 43 years in all aspects of tilles. He was a workaholic who could never stay idle - he was always looking for something to occupy his time. In his free time he enjoyed camping, hunting, and riding his Harley-Davidson as often as he could.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene P. Laviolette of Breaux Bridge; three sons, Clint Laviolette and wife, Misty, of Breaux Bridge, Chad Laviolette and wife, Tammy, of Broussard, and Nicholas Laviolette and wife, Kiley, of Parks; his step children, Adles and Corrie Berard, of Breaux Bridge; one brother, Ronald Laviolette and wife, Anna, of St. Martinville; one sister, Mary Wisdom and husband, Lee, of Parks; six grandchildren, Giles, Eathan, Seth, Page, Tregan, and Gracie Laviolette; and two step grandchildren, Lauren and Sage Berard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Antoine and Marjorie Vincent Laviolette; and a sister, Cheryl Laviolette.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12 noon until time of service.
Pellerin Funeral Homeof Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
