Gavin Collier Hayes

St. Martinville- A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 25, 2022, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Gavin Collier Hayes, 19, who passed away on November 17, 2022.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in St. Martinville on Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Pastor Harris Burch will officiate the funeral service.

Interment will follow at Methodist Cemetery in St. Martinville.

Gavin Collier Hayes was born July 3, 2003, in New Iberia. He loved football, especially watching LSU and Saints. He possessed a loved for fishing, online games, going to the gym and his incredible shoe collection. Gavin was special to many, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his parents, Leah and Shelton Hayes; siblings, Shaylei Hayes, Valerie Hayes, Ryan Hebert, Maison Hayes; nephews, Emerson Vice and Kohen Hebert; maternal grandparents, Harris and Maxine Burch; paternal grandmother, Terry Hayes; aunts and uncles, Chantel Robicheaux (Michael, Jr.), Trisha Oubre (Ronald), Ellis "Pee Wee" Burch (Kathy), Keith Burch (Brooke), Kevin Burch and Lori Bernard (Scott); and a host of cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Shelton Hayes, Sr.; aunt, Stacey Robin; uncle, Isaac Burch; and cousin, Alex Bernard.

Pallbearers will be Ellis Burch, Danny Burch, Ryan Hebert, Scott Bernard, Joshua Billot, and Coalancyo "C.J." Williams, Jr.
