Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Genevieve Guidry Bienvenu, 58, who passed away on Friday, October 8, 2010 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Paul LaFleur, pastor of St. Bernard Church, will conduct the services.Genevieve worked at Martin Mills for 21 years. She loved sewing, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Daniel Bienvenu; her brother, Harris Guidry; her sisters, Mary Robin, Dorothy Hardy and Janet Robin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Alta Courville Guidry; and her sisters, Evelyn Brasseaux and Rose Robin. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 1:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Monday and continue at 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday and 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.Pallbearers will be Brian LeBlanc, Todd Reid, Jimmy Bienvenu, Dustin Robin, Derrick Brasseaux, Tyler Brasseaux and Brennan Duplantis.Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
