VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2010, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Genevieve Celestine, 76, who passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette.. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Genevieve enjoyed visiting with friends, shopping for antiques and refurbishing old items. She enjoyed her status as being the eldest among her siblings. Survivors include her sisters, Marie A. Celestine of Breaux Bridge, Mary L. Celestine Harper and her husband, James of Garland, Texas, Patricia Celestine Williams and her husband, Johnny of Missouri, Texas and Charlene Willis Potier and her husband, Kenneth of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana; her aunt, Onesta Bazille of Houston, Texas, her uncle Abbey Philips of Houston, Texas; her sister-in-law Verna Celestine of Breaux Bridge; her brother-in-law's Gilbert Sam and Ulysse Batiste, both of Breaux Bridge. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen Celestine, Sr. and Lillie Mae Phillips Celestine; her daughter, Cheryl Francis; her brother, Allen Celestine, Jr.; her sisters, Vidia C. Batiste, Enola C. Sam, Rose Marie C. Willis, Hazel Celestine and Beverly Celestine; her godmother, Mary Castille; her two nephews, Farrell Celestine and Kevin A. Sam. Pall Bearers will be Warren Celestine, Richard Batiste, Tyronne Matthews, Johnny Williams III, Cedrick Harper and Ronald Sam. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Earl Sam, Harvey Celestine, Johnny Williams, Herbert Batiste, Cornelius Johnson, Kenneth Potier and Christopher Booker. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2010 and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday. Pellerin Funeral Home, 416 Dauterive Street, Breaux Bridge, is in charge of arrangements.
