Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00 pm on Monday, November 9, 2020, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia for George J. Angelle, 88, who passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at St. Martin Hospital.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:30 am until the time of service on Monday.
Father Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.
George loved gardening and picking pecans. He enjoyed drinking coffee and swinging outside and he loved listening to French music and visiting with his family and friends. George was known to be the sweetest, most caring man, who always worried about others before himself. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother that will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his two daughters, Patsy (Glenn) Savoy and Vickie (Clint "Touf") Lasseigne; grandchildren, Chadwick Savoy, Annie (Brad) Debnam, Taylor (Abby) Lasseigne and Bailey Lasseigne; great-grandchild, Bradlie Debnam; and brother Oswald (Janet) Angelle.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Emily H. Angelle; parents, Marcina and Agnes Berard Angelle; brothers, Addie Angelle, Adley Angelle, Sidney Angelle, James Angelle and Jules Angelle; and sisters, Agnes Angelle Hebert and Alice Angelle Alleman.
Pallbearers will be Taylor Lasseigne, Bailey Lasseigne, Chadwick Savoy, Clint "Touf" Lasseigne, Glenn Savoy and Oswald Angelle.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Debnam and Wesley Hebert.
