"After his 1,001 final breath, our father, George Huval, is finally at rest"
Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 15, 2005, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for George Robert Huval, 84, who died Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge.
Entombment will be in St. Bernard Mausoleum No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Rev. Allen Breaux, associate pastor of St. Bernard Catholic Church will conduct the services.
Mr. Huval was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. He was a lifetime produce farmer and also a retired school bus driver. He was a member of the American Legion and the Louisiana Quarter Horse Association. He enjoyed competitive card playing and was a successful deer hunter.
Survivors include his sons, Ernest Huval and his wife, Evelyn, Duane Huval and his wife, Leanna, Phillip Huval and his wife, Rita, all of Baton Rouge, Timothy Huval and his wife, Lynette, of Bryan, TX, and David Huval of Breaux Bridge; his daughters, Johanna Guidry and her husband, Stephen, of Breaux Bridge, Grace Dore and her husband, William, of Parks, Vivian Brasseaux and her husband, Larry, of Breaux Bridge, and Theresa Gonsuron and her husband, Brian of Breaux Bridge; his brother, Henry Huval of Breaux Bridge, his sister, Mae H. LeBlanc of Breaux Bridge, 19 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 7 step-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elvire Guidry Huval; his former wife, Ada C. Huval; his brothers, Abby, Alley, and Clebe Huval; his half-brothers, Adelma and Abel Comb; and his grandchildren, Debbie Huval, Laurie Huval Aucoin and infant, Joey Bergeron.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. ~ 9:00 p.m., on Friday and continue at
8:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening.
Pallbearers will be Tony, Duane, Phillip, Timothy, and David Huval and William Dore.
Pellerin Funeral Homes of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
