Georgia, Georgia-a, Maw Maw Georgia, Georgie, George, and Georgie Porgie are all names that we called her. Everyone who ever met Maw Maw Georgia remembers her. She was always making jokes and cutting up with anyone she met. She was the oldest of nine children. Some of her hardest days was when she had to bury Pop Pop Allen, her parents, Mom and Pop, and her younger siblings; Tit, Roland, Loon, and Meb. Georgia was a hard worker. She loved her job in the cafeteria at Breaux Bridge Elementary, Hebert's, and LeCaf. She made many friends, young and old. Although she only went to second grade, everyone knew not to mess with her money! She knew exactly how much she had. Georgia will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends. She is survived by her twin sons, Harold Delahoussaye and wife Sheila of Breaux Bridge, and Carrol Delahoussaye and wife Deborah of Buffalo, NY; grandchildren, Danielle Caillier and husband Kelly, Todd Delahoussaye and wife Misti, Dylan Delahoussaye and wife Renee, Beau Delahoussaye and wife Brooks, and Jena Delahoussaye and fianc Ben Givens; her great grandchildren, Jacob, Kai, Kamile, Graci, Noah, Daven, and Brilee Delahoussaye, Gabrielle and Kameron Caillier, and Ezra Soileau; her great-great granddaughter, Ella Delahoussaye; her brothers, Paul Huval and wife Theresa, and Steve Huval and wife Alta; and her sisters, Lois Blanchard and husband Shirby, and Velma Poirier. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Delahoussaye; her parents, Clodis and Anita Guidry Huval; her brothers, Roland Huval and Ernest Huval, Sr.; and her sisters, Mable Meb Boyer and Lula Mae "Loon" Delahoussaye. Pallbearers will be Todd Delahoussaye, Dylan Delahoussaye, Beau Delahoussaye, Kelly Caillier, Kameron Caillier, and Jacob Delahoussaye. Honorary pallbearers will be Daven Delahoussaye, Kai Delahoussaye, Noah Delahoussaye, and Ezra Soileau. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at St. Agnes Nursing Home and Hospice of Acadiana for their extraordinary care and compassion.
