Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 11:40 a.m., on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for Gerald Douglas Bourg, Jr., 55, who passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at his residence in St. Martinville. Interment will follow at St. Anne's Cemetery in Youngsville. Pastor Frank Wells will conduct the services. Jerry loved the simple life. He had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time with his family and old friends. He loved to fish, sky dive and was an avid Saints Fan. Jerry was a very generous, loving father, husband, son, brother, friend and boss. Everyone loved Jerry. He will be deeply missed. Survivors include his wife, of 22 years, Renee Bourg of Parks; his mother, Zoe Poimboeuf Bourg of Oberlin; his son, Daniel Johnson (Natalie) of Franklinton, his daughter, Christina Johnson of Lafayette; his brothers, Joseph Bourg (Michelle) of Oberlin and David Bourg of Milton, his sister, Martha Bourg of Oberlin; his grandchildren, Khloe Wood of Lafayette, Zachary Johnson and Catherine Johnson both of Franklinton. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Bourg, Sr.; and his son, Michael Bourg. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
