Gerald "Pop G" Wayne Breaux

Cecilia A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Gerald "Pop G" Wayne Breaux, 73, who passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 am until 9:30 pm on Friday, and continue on Saturday at 7:00 am until 9:45 am, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday by Deacon Ken Soignier. Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by his godchild, David Schexnailder. Gift Bearers will be Jayden and Kaylee Breaux. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette. Gerald enjoyed spending time at his camp, off of the Atchafalaya Basin, with his black lab, Shelbi. He also assisted his son, Jerry, with installing and repairing air conditioners, at his air conditioning business. Gerald will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Earline Mouton Breaux; sons, Dean (Tammy) Breaux and Gerald "Jerry" (Nichole) Breaux, II; step daughters, Norma L. (Maurice) Schexnailder and Lea L. (Faren) Hulin; his brother, Donald J. (Belle) Breaux; his grandchildren, Kaylee Breaux and Jayden Breaux; step grandchildren, Holli Schexnailder, David Schexnailder, Brian Hulin, Sean Hulin, and Brannon Latiolais. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank J. and Felonise Dore Breaux; and a step grandchild, Jenni B. Schexnailder. Pallbearers will be Brannon Latiolais, Tim Breaux, Mike Breaux, Frank Breaux, Randall "Salt" Olivier, and Dale Gautreaux.
