Gerald "Jerry" David Weatherly Saint Martinville - A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville, for Gerald David Weatherly, 77, who passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2015, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:00 am until time of funeral service. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am on Tuesday. Reverend Ed Degeyter will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Saint Martinville. Jerry was a commercial pilot for Daybrook Fisheries, Inc. for 38 years. He enjoyed staying fit and active by running and lifting weights. Jerry adored his wife, daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his loving spouse of 34 years, Laura Buras Weatherly; daughter, Corlee Guidry; grandchildren, Angela Sundy and spouse Simon, Sr., Jamie Malley and fiance' Michael Zuvich, Rachel Tankersley and spouse Eric, Rachelle Suir and spouse Michael; great-grandchildren, Simon Sundy, Jr., Mikell Zuvich, Shawn Sundy, Calleigh Suir, Sydney Sundy, Madison Gaskill, Destiny Tankersley, and Daniel Ray Tankersley; sisters, Betty Patterson and Kate Smith; niece, Stephanie Buras; great-niece, Malaysia Buras; and nephew, Nicolas Buras. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Orneiva Weatherly; son-in-law, Charles Guidry; one brother; and one sister.
