Parks - A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 25, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks for Geraldine "Gerry" Hebert Doiron, 91, who passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025, at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home.
Visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge on Friday, April 25th, from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
A Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 AM by Deacon Dennis Landry. Father David Rozas will officiate the memorial service. Cherie Serrette and Karl Blanchard will serve as readers.
Interment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum.
Born on December 18, 1933, in Cecilia, Louisiana, Gerry lived a life filled with love, creativity, and connection. She had a passion for ceramics, a flair for decorating her home, and took great joy in hosting her cherished coffee club. One of her favorite places was Hair by Charlotte, where she happily answered phones and visited with the ladies-an activity she loved as much for the laughter as the company.
Gerry's happiest moments were spent in the simple pleasures of life-especially rocking on her front porch with a glass of her legendary iced tea in hand.
She is survived by her four children: Tony Doiron (Tammy), Jacques Doiron (Charlotte), Michelle Prince (Ricky), and Renée Harris (Todd); brother, Reverend T. J. Hebert; ten grandchildren: Kyle, Tanny, Laci, Shawn, Kristopher, Autumn, Amber, Heather, BJ and Beau; sixteen great-grandchildren: Kailyn, Kylan, Kale, Karli, Karson, Talan, Alyssa, Brackston, Aislynn, Genevieve, Tali, Sander, Cameron, Kylie, Kelsey, Jolee, and Zane; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and soulmate, Etienne A. "Buddy" Doiron, Jr., lovingly known to her as "Achan"; and by her parents, Theard and Mabel G. Hebert; brothers Floyd Hebert and Llewelyn Hebert; and her grandson, Jeremy Prince.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Dr. Jude Theriot, Katie Doiron, Charlotte Roy, Rachel Dupre, Traditions Healthcare, the staff at Landmark of Acadiana, and her dedicated sitters who provided loving care and endless conversation in her final days.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of the arrangements.
