Gerdie Delahoussaye

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, July 27, 2005, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Gerdie Comb Delahoussaye, 84, who died Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at her residence in St. Martinville. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Survivors include her husband, Andre Delahoussaye of Cypress Island; her sons, Marcel Delahoussaye, Sr. and his wife, Cheryl and Larry Delahoussaye, and his wife, Rosemary, all of Cypress Island; her daughter, Thelma D. Faucheaux and her husband, Ranell Lee of Cypress Island; her sister, Margie "Toot" Latiolais of Henderson; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Abel and Ament Latiolais Comb; and her sister, Mrs. Preston (Gertrude) Melancon. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 PM on Tuesday and continue until time of service on Wednesday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Kevin Delahoussaye, Bobby Benintende, Marcel Delahoussaye, Jr., Carl Fuselier, Troy Faucheaux, and Johnnell Latiolais. Honorary pallbearers will be Stuart Steiner, Cameron Fuselier, Kade Steiner, Keith Steiner, and John Hebert. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
