Gerhard J. Berard

Breaux Bridge - A Memorial Service will be held at a later date for Gerhard J. Berard, 59, who passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2020, at his residence. Gerhard honorably served his country in the United States Air Force for 4 years. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 133. Gerhard worked for many years as an usher for the New Orleans Superdome, the Times Picayune and then as a Supervisor for the Passport Agency. He was truly a social butterfly and the life of the party; he would do anything for his family and friends. Gerhard will be remembered for his joyous and loving personality; he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his mother, Renate Berard of Breaux Bridge; two sisters, Monika Robinson of Hawkinsville, GA and Ramona Berard of Breaux Bridge; two brothers, John (Margaret) Berard Charleston, SC and Edwin (Pamela) Berard of Breaux Bridge; nephews, Chris (Donna) Begnaud of Bonaire, GA and Raymond (April) Berard of Dallas, TX; nieces, Theresa Berard of Charleston, SC and Nonnie Berard of Breaux Bridge; and great-nephews and great-niece, Sterling, Cameron and Brooklyn Begnaud, all of Bonaire, GA. He was preceded in death by his father, Lin Joseph Berard. Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
