Henderson - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, February 2, 2009, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, for Germaine "Petit" Patin Dupuis, 79, who passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2009 in Henderson.
Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson.
Rev. Chanh Nguyen , Pastor of Our Lady of Mercy Church, will conduct the services. Readers will be Dana Stelly and Doralis Lejeune. Her grandchildren will serve as gift bearers.
Mrs. Dupuis enjoyed cooking for her family, sometimes three meals a day. If you had a request for a favorite dish, she was always willing to accommodate you with a smile and loving heart.
Survivors include her husband, Kaiser Dupuis; her son, Wilton Lee "Mulate" Wiltz and his companion, Jamie Vidrine; her daughter, Dolores Ann W. Dupuis and her husband, David, all of Henderson; her step-daughter, Geraldene "Geri" Dupuis Farley and her husband, Johnny ,of Broussard; her sister, Mary Ann Savoy and her companion, B.J. Lanclos, of Henderson; her grandchildren, Jacklyn Marie Melancon McGee, Dana Michelle Dupuis Stelly, Doralis Marie Dupuis Lejeune, David James Dupuis, Jr., Dawn Aucoin Wiltz, Chance Mulate Wiltz, Duke Duclede Wiltz and Blake Yancy Wiltz; her great grandchildren, Garrett Ashton Knott, Harli Germaine Knott, Gavin James McGee, Shae Patrick Stelly, Morgan Michelle Lejeune, Madison Marie Lejeune, Brandon Michael Lejeune, Lexi Louise Dupuis, Tori Robicheaux, Joradon Robicheaux and Taylor Wiltz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Doralis Marie Patin, her first husband, Duclede "Moon" Wiltz; her daughter, Mary Alice Melancon; her brothers, Adles Patin, Halphen Patin, Yancy Patin, Lee Roy Patin and Alphe Patin; her sister, Mary Alice Patin; her step-daughter, Betty Guidroz.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday, February 1, 2009 and continue at 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Monday.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Pallbearers will be grandson, son and son-in-law, Johnny Farley, Lloyd Melancon and her great grandson, Garrett Knott.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Hospice Care of Louisiana, especially Lynn, Kim, Melody, Gwen and Brother Dave. Donations may be made in Mrs. Dupuis' name to Hospice Care of Louisiana.
