Gertrude Hebert

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, December 24, 2005, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Gertrude Ann "Tude" Hebert, 87, who died Thursday, December 22, 2005 at her residence in St. Martinville. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. ; ; ; ; ; Mrs. Hebert was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She loved to cook and also enjoyed sewing. Survivors include her husband, Joseph "Claude" Hebert of St. Martinville; her sons, Tim Hebert and his wife, Cathy, of St. Martinville, Robert Hebert of St. Martinville and Chris "Kip" Hebert and his wife, Carrie Sue of Baton Rouge; her daughters, Katherine H. Whisman and her husband, Edward "Kirk" of Benbrook, TX and Janet H. Bevan of Baton Rouge; her sister, Beverly Guirard of Austin, TX; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ella French and Robert Guirard; and her sisters, Sybil and Ella Nora Guirard. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 p.m. ~ 10:00 p.m. on Friday and continue at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
