Gervais Celestine

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, August 6, 2007, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Gervais Celestine, 51, who died on Wednesday, August 1, 2007. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Fr. Aaron Melancon, pastor of St. Rose of Lima Church, will conduct the service. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Castille Celestine, of Cecilia; one son, Dustin Pierre Celestine, of Lafayette; one daughter, Lequette Shantel Celestine, of Philadelphia, PA; a step daughter, Ramona Castille, of Lafayette; one brother, Joseph Wallace Celestine, of Houston, TX; three sisters, Clara Wiltz, of Richmond, TX, Wanda Celestine, and Elnora Celestine-Charles and her husband, Bobby, all of Cecilia; and one grandchild, Kanaan Ira Guilford, of Philadelphia, PA; his aunts, Cora Celestine, of Cecilia, Novella Davis, of Westlake, Beverly Williams, of Beaumont, TX, Angella Graves, of Houston, TX; his godfather, Aurelian Williams, Sr., of Cecilia; his goddaughters, Skylar M. Wiltz, of Richmond, TX, Roxanne Mouton, of Breaux Bridge; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including his close friends, Dwight and Kathy Dugas, of Carencro. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Anna Belle Arceneaux Celestine; his maternal grandparents, Gilbert and Adelma Davis Arceneaux; his paternal grandparents, Dolton and Elanore Celestine; and his godson/nephew, Anthony Peraz Celestine. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home, 211 Berard Street, Breaux Bridge, LA from 7 a.m. on Monday and continue until time of service. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
