Giles will be remembered first and foremost, for his love for Jesus. He never faltered from his relationship with him not matter what. Spreading his love for Jesus with everyone he met, a 100% true disciple, even when he was in his darkest times with his addiction, he continued to spread the word. He led his own family back to Jesus. Giles never met a stranger, and he would light a room up with his smile, deep voice, and laughter. He was a loving son, brother, nephew, grandson, uncle, and friend. He never spoke badly about anyone and was always forgiving. He had a passion for the outdoors and loved to spend from sunup to sundown in the deer stand waiting for the perfect shot whenever he could. He never gave up. He would always say, “To be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord.” Now he is free. We have no doubt we will see him again. Until then my sweet Giles.
He is survived by his mother, Robin Landry Venable; brother, Michael (Ashley) Guidry; stepbrothers, Robert (Karen) Venable and David (Callie) Venable; stepsister, Elizabeth Venable; maternal grandparents, Elaine and Francis Landry; paternal grandfather, John Harry Guidry; aunt and godparents, Janice and John Choplin; cousin, Noah Choplin; and nieces that he loved so much, Harper Leigh Guidry and Hailey Lauren Guidry.
He was preceded in death by his father, Phillip Guidry; stepfather, Steven Voorhies Venable; paternal grandmother, Beatrice Guidry; and uncle, Jerome Guidry.
Pallbearer will be Michael Guidry.
