Arnaudville- Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 11, 2007, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Gladys Tauzin Moran, 88, who died on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at Maison de Lafayette Nursing Home in Lafayette.
Interment will be in St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.
Mrs. Moran was born and raised in the Poche Bridge area. ?She was everything a mother could be; faithful, caring, loving, a great cook, she loved to laugh and loved her Savior, Jesus Christ.
Survivors include five sons, Larry J. Moran and his wife, Marlyn of Baton Rouge, Melvin C. Moran of Ridgeland, MS, Terry J. Moran and his wife, Sharon of Baton Rouge, Errol L. Moran and his wife, Jean of Monroe, and Connie P. Moran and his wife, Elizabeth of Lafayette; one daughter, Renella M. Ratcliff and her husband, Jim of Vicksburg, MS; one brother, J.C. Tauzin of Breaux Bridge; three sisters, Hilda Thibodeaux of Breaux Bridge, Evelyn Meche of Grand Coteau, and Alma Benoit of Arnaudville; twelve grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Moran, Jr.; her parents, Charles and Josephine Mathieu Tauzin; three brothers, Anicet, Excellie, and Nesley Tauzin; and six sisters, Beunice Tauzin, Alfreda Guidry, Solange Guidry, Nemez Thibodeaux, Beulah Thibodeaux, and Estelle Dupuis.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and continue at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Larry Moran, Melvin Moran, Terry Moran, Errol Moran, Connie Moran, and Jim Ratcliff.
Honorary pallbearers will be Devin Moran, Edan Moran, Chris Moran, Jimmy Ratcliff, Tommy Hudson, Steven Ancelet, and Michael Scott McDaniel.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
