Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 21, 2006, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Glen ""Re-Run"" Fontenette, 55, who died Monday, October 16, 2006 at Medical Center of Southwest Louisiana in Lafayette. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Glen was employed by Southern Pacific Railroad as a Laborer and a Machine Operator from 1977 until 1986. ?He became a Bridge Tender Operator for Southern Pacific Railroad that was later taken over by Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway in 1997. ?Glen continued his job as Bridge Tender Operator until January 2006 when his health started to fail. Glen held various positions for the Brotherhood Maintenance of Way Employee Lodge 1048. ?He served as Vice President and Assistant Legislative Director for the Labor Board and Secretary-Treasurer. ?He will be sadly missed by us all. Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline ""Jackie"" Williams Fontenette of Lafayette; his daughter, Jennifer C. Carmouche and her husband, Thomas C. of Irving, TX; his father, Wilfred ""Fred"" Fontenette of Port Arthur, TX; his stepmother, Norma Fontonot of Port Arthur, TX;; eight brothers, McKinley Demouchet, Sr. and his wife, Jeanette, Clifton, Calvin and Anthony Demouchet, all of Breaux Bridge, Normand, Jonthan, Terry and Jerry Fontonot, all of Port Arthur, TX; six sisters, Charlene Demouchet, Monique Demouchet, Felicia Lewis and her husband, Chester, and Patricia Payne and her husband, Karl, all of Breaux Bridge, Sandra Fontonot and Alozia Bougan, both of Port Arthur, TX; and seven grandchildren, Rakeem, Rashidah, Rasheed, Raheemah, Rafiy'ya, Rafig and Rajeeyah Carmouche. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Mabel Demouchet; his sister, Mary Kay Demouchet; his brother, Wilfred Demouchet; his paternal grandparents, Willie and Marie Charles Fontenette, Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Harrison and Mary Williams Demouchet; his nephew, Trey La'Trell Demouchet; and his stepfather, Roosevelt Jean Batiste. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. ~ 10:00 p.m. on Friday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening. Pallbearers will be McKinley Demouchet, Jr., Tawasky Williams, Bradley Ledet, Dominque Lewis, Thomas Carmouche, and Normand Fontonot. Honorary pallbearers will be McKinley Demouchet, Sr., Calvin Demouchet, Anthony Demouchet, James Demouchet, Lester Demouchet, Clifton Demouchet, Elie Williams, Tyron Celestine, Phillip Walker, and Dr. Tyrus Demouchet. Pellerin Funeral Home, 211 Berard St., Breaux Bridge, LA 70517 is in charge of arrangements.
