New Iberia - Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, February 8, 2013 at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Glenn P. Dor, 64 who died Monday, February 4, 2013 in New Iberia. Entombment will follow in the Holy Family Mausoleum. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 12 Noon until 3:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 1:00 PM Friday. Rev. Edward Duhon will officiate. Glenn worked side-by-side with his father, Harold P. Dor, who opened the first State Farm Agency in New Iberia. He expanded his career goals by opening Dor Real Estate and Insurance in 1976. He then worked for Saturn Real Estate, where he was a property manager, top producer, and top listing agent for many years. His hobbies included fishing, racing model boats, and he loved old muscle cars. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family. Survivors include his daughters, Andrea D. Hayes and husband, Jason, of Breaux Bridge, and Michelle Dor of New Iberia; sisters, Bonnie D. Viator and husband, Jack, Susan D. Domingues and husband, Wayne, all of New Iberia, and Cyndi Dor of Broussard; two grandchildren, Lauren Hayes and Brandt Sandridge; and his special friends, Susan Drake of Memphis, TN, and Jim Wyche of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Marie Thibodeaux Dor. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the March of Dimes, St. Jude Childrens Hospital, or to the American Kidney Fund.
