New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, June 17, 2022, at St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia for Glenn Luke Dugas, 60, who passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022.
Entombment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery.
Rev. William Blanda will be the Celebrant.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home and will continue on Friday from 8:00 am until 9:30 am.
A rosary, lead by the Men’s Rosary Group, will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Thursday.
A native of Loreauville, Glenn was born on November 8, 1961 to the late Willis Dugas, Sr. and Melba Rebert Dugas. He attended Loreauville High School and worked offshore for many years and also as a carpenter. Glenn enjoyed taking care of his yard, cooking, hunting, fishing, gardening, and LSU and ULL baseball. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa "Missy" Dugas of New Iberia; daughters, Brittanie Dugas Boutte (Coy) of Avery Island, Ashley Dugas Rodrigue (Jason) of St. Martinville, Nikki Dugas (fiance Tim Sandoz) of New Iberia, and Alexie Dugas Latiolais (Lance) of New Iberia; son, Hunter Dugas of New Iberia; grandchildren, Nathan Boutte, Adalynn Boutte, Ashton Rodrigue, Colton Rodrigue, Vivian Rodrigue, and Rainey Latiolais; brother, Willis Dugas, Jr. (Dewanna) of New Iberia; sisters, Darlene Vaughn (Lenny) of Loreauville and Carmen Dugas of Loreauville; sister-in-law, Nikki Dugas of St. Martinville; mother-in-law, Rosalie Hebert Little of New Iberia; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family; and his beloved dog, Nola.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Gracie Boutte; brothers, Dale Dugas and Kim Dugas; and his father-in-law, Joseph Little.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Dugas, Coy Boutte, Jason Rodrigue, Tim Sandoz, Lance Latiolais, Willis Dugas, Jr., and Nene Rebert.
Honorary pallbearers include Ashton Rodrigue, Nathan Boutte, and Colton Rodrigue.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Michael Cain, Allison Bertrand, FNP, the staff of the Cancer Center of Acadiana, and to Hospice of Acadiana, especially Tyler Robicheaux.
