Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm., on Friday, February 24, 2012, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Glenn Harris Marks, 65, who passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at Opelousas General Hospital.Father Keenan Brown will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Patricia Courville and Becky Marks, and gift bearers will be Sharon and Sherry Marks. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.Mr. Marks loved family gatherings and cooking in big old-fashioned cast iron pots. In his free time he enjoyed listening to French music, riding around town and stopping by to visit and talk to his friends, as well as going to the Double Diamond Casino. Glenn's most treasured times were those spent sitting at the kitchen table with Lou Anna, drinking coffee, and he most especially enjoyed passing his time for the last two years with his granddaughter, Abby.He is survived by his loving wife, Lou Anna R. Marks of Arnaudville; four sons, Keith (Sherry) Marks of Bunkie, Leonard (Della) Marks of Grand Anse, Dwayne (Sharon) Marks of Gonzales, and Wayne (Becky) Marks of Arnaudville; his daughter, Heather Marks of Arnaudville; two brothers, Dan (Suzanne) Marks, and Freddie (Barbara) Marks, all of Arnaudville; one sister, Gladys Lanclos of Arnaudville; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonidas and Louise Olivier Marks; two brothers, Leon and Felix Marks; and two sisters, Myrtle Usie and Deanna Picou.The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 12 noon until 10:00 pm on Thursday, and continue at 7:00 am until 1:30 pm on Friday.A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Thursday.Pallbearers will be Blake Marks, Jonathon Marks, John Weaver, Brandon Marks, Joseph Weaver, Tyler Marks.Honorary pallbearer will be Anthony Richard.Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville is in charge of arrangements.To view on-line obituary, sign guest book, and , go to www.pellerinfuneralhomel.com
