Henderson - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson for Gloria Lee Benoit, 79, who passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday, and continue on Saturday at 8:00 am until 9:30 am, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Henderson. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Friday. Rev. Garrett Savoie will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson. Gloria was a member of the Ladies Altar Society of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Breaux Bridge Garden Club, and would volunteer at many social events. She enjoyed teaching religion at Our Lady of Mercy for several years. Her hobbies included arts and crafts, playing Bingo, cooking, baking, and reading. She had love for all the elderly and the children in the community, especially her nieces and her great nephew. She will be fondly remembered for her independence and her endurance. She is survived by her brothers, Roger Latiolais and wife Elaine of Breaux Bridge and Roland Latiolais and wife Mary of Henderson; nieces, Brittney Latiolais of Henderson, Chrystal Dor and spouse Miles of Henderson; and her great nephew, Devin Dor of Henderson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Benoit; an infant son; and her parents, Andy and Hilda Eddy Latiolais. Pallbearers will be Chrystal Dore', Devin Dore', Miles Dore.
