Gloria Jeanne Calais

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 2, 2007, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Gloria Jeanne Calais, 69, who died Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Fr. Floyd Calais, will be the celebrant of the funeral mass. Miss. Calais was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church Ladies Altar Society. Survivors include her son, Tommy Calais of Houston, TX; two brothers, Dewey "D.J." Calais and his wife, Jeanette, and Robert "Bobby" Calais and his wife, Loretta, all of Cecilia; one sister, Hallie Tauzin of Lafayette; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey Calais, Sr. and Lorinne Angelle Calais. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Thursday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Friday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening by Rev. Keith Derouen, Pastor of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lafayette. Pallbearers will be Mickey, Miles, Chad, Ronnie, and T-Boy Calais, and Todd Tauzin. Honorary pallbearer will be Keith Calais. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
