Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, December 17, 2007, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Glynn Hardy Spillman, Jr., 55, who passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at his residence in Breaux Bridge. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Allen Breaux, associate pastor of St. Bernard Church, will conduct the services. Glynn worked as a lineman for Red Simpson Inc. and Pike Electric Power Companies. He enjoyed raising chickens. He also loved fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Samantha Spillman of Breaux Bridge; his father, Glynn Hardy Spillman, Sr. and his step-mom, Shirley Spillman of St. Francisville; his mother-in-law, Linda Credeur, of Breaux Bridge; his daughter, Shannon Spillman and her companion, Mikie Duplechain, of Leonville; his sisters, Roxann Stherer, of Baton Rouge, Joan Blackard and Bobbi Spillman; and his grandson, Kole Duplechain. He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Olivier Spillman; his brother, Reese Spillman; his grandfather-in-law, Percy "Popit" Roberts; and his father-in-law, Patrick Roberts. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 16, 2007 and continue at 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Randy Roberts, Hobbie Roberts, Curtis Savoie, Dave Duplechain, Dean Robin and Darwin Shaw. Honorary pallbearers will be Kole Duplechain, Eric Shaw, Brock Savoie and Randolph LeBlanc. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
