Goldie Romero Gondran

New Iberia A Holy Mass will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church in New Iberia for Goldie Romero Gondran, 85, who died Sunday, November 30, 2014, in New Iberia. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Mario Romero will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 12 Noon until 2:00 PM at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church, 130 N. Richlieu Circle, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 1:00 PM Tuesday. Mrs. Gondran was born on June 21, 1929 to Antoine and Rosie Theall Romero. A member of the Sugar Cane Festival Association, she loved attending and assisting with the traditional pageant, Queens Tea, and many other festival celebrations. Along with her husband, Herbert, she enjoyed traveling to many foreign countries, and was also an avid duck hunter. Mrs. Gondran had a deep love of nature, and was a very generous and caring person, who was always helping others. She worked for many of the Main Street businesses in New Iberia including Bowabs, The Model, Creims, and also the Rosary House. She lived for family and laughter. Survivors include her daughter, Vicki Gondran Pattillo and husband Patrick Wes Pattillo; son, Steven Gondran and companion Lena Navarre; daughter-in-law, Sherea Gondran; sister, Katherine Hebert; brother, Farris Romero; grandchildren, Kali Pattillo Guilbeaux, Ashleigh Pattillo Buck, Seth Pattillo, Ian Gondran, Victoria Gondran, Quintin Gondran, Casey Gondran, Calen Gondran; great grandchildren, Dominic Camacho, Amilee Camacho, Bayleigh Guilbeaux, Avery Chevalon, Aubreigh Chevalon, Kamyrn Gondran, and Colin Gondran. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Herbert Pod Gondran; son, Rev. Glenn Mark Gondran; and brothers, Shelby Romero, Carroll Romero, and Lonnie Romero. Pallbearers will be Seth Pattillo, Ian Gondran, Quintin Gondran, Zachary Buck, Kyle Guilbeaux, and Dominic Camacho.
