Goldie Touchet Hebert

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Goldie Theresa Hebert, 81, who passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:30 am until 1:45 pm on Thursday. A rosary will be prayed at 1:00 pm on Thursday. Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Goldie enjoyed cooking for the local schools, nursing homes, and at St. Martin Hospital. Most will remember her for the wonderful burgers and fried catfish that she cooked at Le Caf in Breaux Bridge for many years. As a pastime, she enjoyed going to the casinos, dancing, and watching the soaps. Goldie always greeted you with that wonderful smile that made you feel loved and welcomed and was always eager to prepare your favorite food. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. She is survived by her brother, Harold Touchet and his wife Janette of Henderson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Roger Hebert; her parents, Odeaus and Clelie Lasseigne Touchet;, her brothers, Lawrence and Joseph Touchet; and sisters, Rita Girard and Gracie Dore'.
