St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Goldie Marie Mallery, 96, who passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, in St. Martinville.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Notre Dame Catholic Church from 7:00 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday.
A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 am on Wednesday.
Rev. Michael Sucharski, SVD will officiate at the Funeral Mass.
Inurnment will follow at a later date at Queen of Peace Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Goldie loved having her family over for gatherings. She always had the best home-cooked meals prepared for them and a delicious dessert to remember. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends and those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughters, Alma Auguillard and husband Joseph P., and Lucille Gordon, all of St. Martinville; son, Hilton Mallery, Sr. of St. Martinville; sisters, Victoria Green of Broussard and Lizzie Drake of St. Martinville; brother, Lawrence Mallery of Oakland, CA; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her father, Victor Mallery; mother, Edna Charles Voorhies; daughters, Madeline Augilliard and Carolyn Bourda; son, Anthony Gerard, Jr.; great grandchild, Kennedy Gordon; and brothers, Frank Mallery and Delton Mallery.
Pallbearers will be David Mallery, Sr., Brandon Gordon, Nathaniel Mallery, Corey Mallery, Jaylen Eugene, Dylan Augilliard, and Jamari Mallery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hilton Mallery, Sr., Damien Gerard, Sr., Hilton Mallery, Jr., Joseph P. Auguillard, Jr., Tarziski Augilliard, Damien Gerard, Jr., J’karie Gerard, Hunter Lewis, Raymond Mallery, Frank Mallery, Jr., Michael Mallery, MacRoyce Williams, and Tommy Batiste.
