Grace Yvonne T. Matte

St. Martinville - A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Grace Yvonne T. Matte, 79, who passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 12:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm on Thursday. Pastor Gabe Smith will officiate at the Memorial Service. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. She is survived by her two sons, Ricky Wedlake (Sherrie) and Kevin Todd (Cyndi); stepdaughter, Angela Matte (James) Vidrine; two stepsons, Anthony (Tracey) Matte and Robert "Bobby" James (Denise) Matte; two sisters, Nora Virginia (Fred) Seemann and Barbara Holmquist; grandchildren, Nigel Paul (Alainie ) Wedlake, Katherine Wedlake (Ryan) Longman, Amber (Ryan) Broussard, Sean (Elizabeth) Wedlake ; and numerous great grandchildren, step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Matte; parents, Denver Tarkington, Sr. and Lillian Halsey Tarkington; and brother, Denver Tarkington, Jr. Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
