Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 5, 2022 , at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Gregg A. Skelly, 71, who passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge from 4:00 pm until 7:30 pm on Wednesday and continue at 11:00 am until 12:30 pm on Thursday.
A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Wednesday.
Fr. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Isabella Wilcox and Abigail Mahne.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Gregg was born on August 23, 1950, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Gregg was a Senior Vice President with Super 1 Foods. As a pastime, he loved gardening, having crawfish boils, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed the outdoors. His favorite venture was being on his boat or sitting on his patio looking out on the bayou. Gregg will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Machen Skelly; daughters, April Dotson, Michelle Luquette and husband, Tracy, Corrin Wilcox and husband, David and Christa Wilson and husband, Brad; 13 grandchildren, Abigail, Morgan, Jordan, Madeline, Olivia, Isabella, Sophia, Finley, Paige, Will, Allison, Abbey, and Charlotte; brother, Brian Skelly; brother in-law, Tim Sullivan; and Jim and Claire Voetberg
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Lottie Ann Sluja Skelly; sisters, Marcia Sullivan and Kathy McDonald; and his brother, Larry Skelly.
Pallbearers will be Morgan P'Pool, William Blyth, David Wilcox, Brad Wilson, Tracy Luquette and Parnell Priester.
