New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Gregory Paul Glaubrecht, 49 of Lydia, who passed away on Monday, August 24, 2015, in Lydia.
Entombment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery.
Deacon Theo Landry will officiate.
A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM.
Gregory was born on September 12, 1965 to Calvin and Elizabeth Darcey Glaubrecht, and was a lifelong area resident. He loved the New Orelans Saints, LSU Tigers, and was an avid wrestling fan. Gregory also enjoyed fishing, and bowling..
Survivors include his sisters, Michelle Glaubrecht Metcalf and husband Everett Metcalf III of Lydia, Melanie Glaubrecht Harvison and husband Randy of Patoutville; brother, George Glaubrecht and wife Amanda of New Iberia; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Everett Metcalf III, George Glaubrecht, Joey Lopez, Jacob Mason, Matthew Mason, and Reed Migues.
Honorary pallbearers include Elliott Mason, Barry Bouton, Ray Boudreaux, Casey Munnerlyn, Alex Wazenkewitz, and Terry Bouchereau.
The family would like to give special thanks to Heart of Hospice and Seth Porche for their extraordinary care and compassion.
