New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 12, 2019, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Gregory J. Landry, 55, who passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2019, in Broussard. Rev. Mark Miley will be the Officiant.
Entombment will follow in the St. John Cemetery in Jeanerette.
A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 8:30 am until 2:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia.
A longtime area resident, Gregory was born on July 9, 1963 to Carroll “Chief” Landry and Shirley Lopez Landry. He worked in the oilfield for over 25 years, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, most of all spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his sons, Cody Landry and wife Kayla of Breaux Bridge, Jacob Landry of Broussard; mother, Shirley Lopez Landry of New Iberia; sisters, Kim Hebert and husband Jude of Jeanerette, Missy Kryvicky and husband P.K. of Denver, Colorado, Melanie Legnon and husband Joey of Jeanerette; brother, Morgan Landry and wife Amber of River Ridge; grandson, Hudson; and companion, Denise Breaux Landry of Broussard.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carroll "Chief" Landry, and a nephew, Christopher Bodin.
Pallbearers will be Cody Landry, Jacob Landry, Ryan Hebert, Joey Fleming, Daniel Bodin, Morgan Landry, and Nick Fleming.
Honorary pallbearers are Jude Hebert, Jude Guidry, Aaron Breaux, Blaine Hebert, Bucky Hebert, Jerry Louviere, Lee Roane, Ray Boyd, Chris Louviere, R.P. Touchet, and Wyatt Kryvicky.
