St. Martinville A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Gregory Joseph LeBlanc, 52, who passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 am until 12:30 pm on Saturday, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville. A rosary will be recited at 10:00 am on Saturday. Rev. Augustinus Seran will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Dora Robertson and Mitchell Rochon. Gift Bearers will be Tina Nelson, Amber Golbert, and Lisa Nelson. Entombment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum in St Martinville. Gregory had a special love for time spent with his family and friends. His favorite hobbies were camping and riding his motorcycle Oh, how he loved his motorcycles. He will be sadly missed by his family and numerous friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Vonda Nelson LeBlanc; two sons, Craig LeBlanc and Kolby LeBlanc; his brother, Patrick LeBlanc; his step brother, Edward Robertson; and a special person in his life, Dorita Prade. He is preceded in death by his mother, Louise LeBlanc; his step mother, Pearl Prade; his step sister, Charlene Horton; maternal grandparents, Randolph and Louisa LeBlanc; uncles, Herbert, Henry and Paul LeBlanc; aunts, Helen Savoy, and Rose, Rita, and Corrina LeBlanc; and two brothers-in-law, Louis Thomas "Tommy" Nelson and Thaddeus Nelson. Pallbearers will be Lawrence Granger, Jamie Sigue, Patrick LeBlanc, Russel Simon, Morgan Savoy, and Larry LeBlanc. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitchell Rochon, Edward Robertson, Jim Horton, Elvis Paul, Remy Ledet, and his Biker Family.
