Greta M. Decuir

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, February 19, 2018, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Greta M. Decuir, 85, who passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Notre Dame Catholic Church from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Monday. A rosary will be prayed at 8:30 am on Monday. Rev. Michael Sucharski, SVD will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Greta enjoyed sewing, cooking, singing, and entertaining her family and friends. She was known to have a great sense of humor and for speaking her mind. She is survived by her loving daughter, Deborah Ann Decuir of St. Martinville; and her granddaughter, Denise Johnson and husband J. Floyd Johnson of St. Martinville. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lester Decuir; parents, Antoine and Viola Francis Dauphine; brother, Alfred Dauphine; and sisters, Mary Bella Bourda and Mary Lorraine Wiltz.
