Grover Wade Burdin Jr.

St. Martinville - A funeral prayer service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel for Grover Wade Burdin, Jr., 83, a native of St. Martinville and a long time resident of Lafayette, who died on Monday, January 22, 2007. ?Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. ?Rev. Charland Jordan will conduct the funeral service. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mr. Burdin was a 1946 graduate of Tulane School of Law. ?He was a landowner, investment and real estate developer and was a member of the Louisiana Landowners Association and the Louisiana State Bar Association. Survivors include his wife, Merleen McGee Burdin of Lafayette; his sons, Grover Wade Burdin, III, and his wife, Jackie Marie Guidry Burdin of Breaux Bridge and Christopher Lyle Burdin and his wife, Charlotte Denise Guidry Burdin of Parks; his daughter, M. Elizabeth ""Betsy"" Arabie, and her husband, Roger Luke Arabie of Lafayette; and three grandchildren, William John Arabie, Kathryn Elizabeth Arabie, and Lylah Kristine Burdin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover Wade Burdin, Sr. and Marie Louise Bienvenu Burdin. Pallbearers will be Grover Wade Burdin, III, Christopher Lyle Burdin, Roger Luke Arabie, William John Arabie, Minos Perez, Mike Crochet, and Gerald Castille.
