Gustave Aucoin

St. Martinville - A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am, on Friday, August 10, 2012, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Gustave Joseph Aucoin, III, 63, who passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2012, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. A gathering of family and friends will be observed from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Thursday, and continue at 8:00 am until 10:30 am on Friday, at Pellerin Funeral Home, 112 New Market St., St. Martinville, LA. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Thursday. Rev. Rusty P. Richard will officiate at the Memorial Mass. The readers will be Susan Hebert and Beth Grant. Gift Bearers will be Valarie Marie Aucoin and Alex Stephens. Inurnment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville. Gustave was a Regional Manager for Texas Iron Works for 32 years. He enjoyed being outdoors and working on his farm. A caring son, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Gustave was loyal to his family. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Darlene S. Aucoin; his father, Gustave Joseph Aucoin, Jr.; his daughter, Heather Aucoin; step daughter, Tania Stephens; two brothers, Mark Aucoin and David Aucoin; two sisters, Cathy Aucoin and Jeanne Breaux; and three grandchildren, Valarie Marie Aucoin, Edward Menard, III, and Alex Stephens.
