Hardie Holcomb, Jr.

New Iberia – A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Pellerin Funeral Home, for Hardie Marion Holcomb, Jr., 73, who passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at Pellerin Funeral Home.

Mr. Kenny Wright will officiate.

A resident of New Iberia, Mr. Holcomb was born on December 8, 1949 in El Reno, Oklahoma, to the late Hardie Marion Holcomb, Sr. and Claraetta Louise Dikes Holcomb. Mr. Holcomb proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy, during the Vietnam War and retired from Exxon Mobil. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching tv, and grilling outdoors.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Sarah Thomas Holcomb; daughter, Tiffany Schuman (J.T.); grandchildren, Piper Schuman, Kennedy Schuman; brothers, Wayne Holcomb (Sandra) and Ronnie Holcomb; sister, Sandra Meaux; mother-in-law, Betty Greer Thomas; brothers-in-law, W.E. “Moe” Meaux, Mike Thomas, Kenneth Thomas; sisters-in-law, Carroll Thomas, Sandy Williams (Charlie), Donna Dingler (Steve); several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Robert Lee Holcomb and baby boy Holcomb; father-in-law, Donald Thomas; sister-in-law and her husband, Kay and Brian O’Brien.
