Harold John Gordon

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, August 9, 2008, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Harold John Roll Gordon, 70, who passed away on Monday, August 4, 2008 at his residence. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Fr. Louis Allen Breaux will conduct the services. Mr. Gordon loved horses, horseracing and cooking. He enjoyed nothing greater than spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his wife, family and friends. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Hilda Williams Gordon; his sons, John Gilbert Gordon, Robert Chrsitopher Gordon, James Elliot Gordon and Bobby Joseph Rossyion; his daughter Carmelita Gordon Lewis and her husband, Frederick, all of Cecilia; his grandchildren, Shalonna Lewis, Megan Lewis, Haylie Lewis, Kayla Rossyion, Cody Rossyion, Casey Rossyion, Shayla Williams and John Tiger Williams; and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clovis and Malazie Journet Gordon; his brothers, Ralph, Horace, Herman and Wallace Gordon; his sisters, Nora Lee Gordon, Maudry Gordon Robicheaux, Elnora Derouselle and Leona Roberts. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be Cody Rossyion, John Tiger Williams, Alvin Robicheaux, Herman Gordon, Jr., Elroy Williams and Kevin Chevalier. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
